Northern Virginia Affordable Housing Alliance and Alliance for Housing Solutions Merge

Curtis Strategy is pleased to announce the successful merger of the Northern Virginia Affordable Housing Alliance (NVAHA) and the Alliance for Housing Solutions (AHS) effective January 1, 2024. This transaction will create a unified voice for affordable housing advocacy in Northern Virginia.

The merger will bring together the strengths of both organizations, and create a regionally united and locally responsive impact strategy in solving the affordable housing crisis. Through a network of local alliances, the unified organization will convene local advocates, organizations, and developers to understand and communicate the unique needs of each jurisdiction they serve. The first local alliance in the network will be Arlington, VA.

We are confident that this merger will be a positive development for affordable housing advocacy and will help to ensure that communities in their jurisdiction continue to thrive in the years to come. Some key benefits of the merger are a stronger voice for affordable housing and increased innovation and efficiency. As a combined organization, NVAHA will have the resources and influence to effectively advocate for affordable housing at a local and regional level. Unification also presents opportunities to invest in new strategies and solutions to better serve communities and advance the mission. We are thrilled to be involved in this groundbreaking merger and eagerly anticipate the promising future of the Northern Virginia Affordable Housing Alliance.
